A new design of cable anchor for ultra-high fatigue stress cable net of largest telescope in the world

As the largest filled-aperture radio telescope in world, China's five-hundred-meter diameter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope (FAST) is supported using a unique ultra-high fatigue stress cable net structure to enable flexible deformation of reflector. each supporting cables required be capable bearing an (up approximately 500 MPa), new type anchor specially designed this paper provide high prestress level cables. In paper, distribution steel strands inside chilled cast analyzed, method for adjusting force developed which can effectively reduce concentration anchor. The relationship between anchorage efficiency coefficient and its influencing factors established, used design optimize performance anchorage.
